Zbigniew Przadka - 1961 (Alfons Wons) was born in Polen and since 1989 he lives and works in Germany. He has been active working within the advertising bussiness besides his artistic expressions and work.
Within his work Zbigniew Przadka combines expression and emotion. His work could be categorized as mixed media and he brings drawing, photography, patches of color and abstracted figurative human shapes together. The figurative elements are partly realistic and partly open abstracted and loosely defined, leaving space for personal interpretation of the viewer. He consciously plays with perspective, distorts and multiplies anatomical shapes and forms and adds on small, seemingly insignificant symbols or references, both real as well as surreal. With this procedure he intends to create a new and above all highly personal way of experiencing his work. His artistic narrative and motivation not only origins from observing the world, the people and their everyday existential struggles, but also from his personal interest in science, and especially in physics, philosophy and literature. From mythological narratives to the present day, authors such as Dostoevsky, Edgar Allan Poe, Sartre, Camus, Nietzsche, Kafka, and Jean Genet, this wide range of literary expression, combined with his observation of modern painting and drawing, is an important source of inspiration for his personal expressions and work.
His work visually relates by feeling, strongly to artists like the renowned contemporary artist Marlene Dumas, known for intimate, psychologically charged figurative paintings and drawings that explore race, sexuality, innocence, and violence. Her work blends emotional states with social commentary.
