10dence platform AIR at Le Château d’Arvieu, France
As usually all good things will come to an end finally.... we finalized our 10dence platform - International Artist in Residency at Le Château d’Arvieu 2026 in Arvieu in the south of France, that took place from September 4 till 18 2026 with the participation of Anka Krasna - SL, Heleen van Zantvoort - NL, Ingrid Kooijmans - NL, Jerneja Herzog - SL, Larisa Sjoerds - NL, Ron Weijers - NL and Taco Brakel - NL. Attached some impressions from the residency, the cyanotype and tetrapak workshops, the excursions and roadtrips to Montpellier and Rodez as well as the individual excursion to Toulouse, Bourges and Troyes we undertook while travelling to and from our residency location in Arvieu. Thanx a lot to the participating artists as well as the local public that warmly felt to interact with us at chateau d'Arvieu. Satisfied and feeling good about this once again... Either in France or in Japan, 10dence platform International Artist in Residencies yearly bring a select group of international artists together in ways that often extend well beyond the time and place of the event and is an ultimate opportunity to create and to observe creation in action as well as to gain insight into the process of making a work of art. Its unpretentious creative premises transforms into a shared studio location. Every year, 10dence selects an international group of 10 to 15 artists to gather at the Artist in Residency location to work and to create together for a timeframe of two weeks. The residency therefore is also a great opportunity to live and experience contemporary art there where the creative process and interaction takes place and goes hand in hand. The originality and success of the residency is based on the direct interaction between the artists and receiving immediate, professional and honest feedback on their work. The residency aims to manifest itself as an experimental and stimulating garden of Eden. Always researching new avenues and redefining itself as well as promoting dialogue on geopolitical concerns, overall questions of aesthetics and social and environmental issues have all served to inspire the participants of these residencies.
After finalizing the residency, the work created during the residency will be exhibited within a venue. 10dence platform enjoys the promotional support from Inspirational Magazine.
